Recent Woodward Trip
I was out at Woodward Camp a few weeks back taking some photos and having meetings about the upcoming 2009 brochures which we’re designing. Obviously now that I’m in Portland, I don’t see all the action at camp as often as I used to. They’ve redone a ton of stuff at camp from Lot 8 to an entirely new street area that takes up the area where the legendary “Titanic” vert ramp once sat.
I am making at least one more trip out there this summer for brochure related stuff, as we go through the process of creating the four books for East and West.
Last year I shot some stuff of Axel Jurgens on a dirt quarterpipe he built on the old motocross jumps out back. He spent about two hours crashing bikeflip airs and ended up giving up. When I was out this time he’d rebuilt the quarter and was ready to get it done. After about six or seven tries he got it done perfectly. You can see the video on the Team Blowin’ It site. Below is a photo from the shoot of a flair… I’m saving the bikeflip for something else.
