“Adult America”
When I lived in PA I would drive by this place every time I drove from State College to Pittsburg. A drive-thru strip club. I don’t quite understand the process, but I had to grab a shot of it when I was headed out of town to move west. Now there’s a giant 20×30 print of the place on my wall. In walks snowboard photographer Tim Zimmerman, who’s originally from Central PA, and says “I know that place.” He’d never been there, but you can’t miss it if you’re from the area.
Driving around the US there are a ton of adult oriented establishments geared toward those with a life on the road (truckers etc.). Some of them are American Icons in themselves. I’ve started documenting some of them as I go, so this is a sample from the series.

These are awesome.Years ago on a magazine tour we stumbled across a supermarket-sized porno & fireworks combo store in Florida. One of the great regrets of my life, that we didn’t properly document that joint.
