That pisses me off. I hate religion for exactly the hell that Chase went through growing up. THAT is not Christianity; that is a cult. All that religion stuff is destructive and I can't blame him for hating it. Guilt is the enemies weapon. Do these people not realize that religious people put Jesus on the cross?

Religion sucks! And yes I am a Christian. Not this twisted "have to be good and earn your way into heaven" Christian.

Sad thing is that because of these "blind guides" that brought up Chase, he will probably never come near Christ again. Way to screw with someones spirituality forever. Douche bags.

[...] More info…Sometime in 2003 Chase Gouin called me to pick my brain about something wed talked about a few times: an Interview for one of the BMX magazines. Chase Gouin is/ was a legend in flatland BMX freestyle. Chase, along with Kevin Jones and the Plywood Hoods pioneered many of the tricks that have become modern flatland riding. But in addition to his skills on a bike, Chase had been involved in a lot of things over the years that had a lot of rumors circulating, and a lot of people talking. There wa [...]

I lived with chase for 4 - 6 months in 1993 i think it was. Not to take away from his riding ability, but chase was a douche.
A pretty annoying person. We got along ok though. The thing that really bugged me the most about him was his sense of entitlement. He would bitch about not getting paid to be in videos or for photos. He would talk about how if it was still the late 80s he'd be making all kinds of money and he felt gyped because of that fact. I mean i was fucking broke as hell at the time to, digging pop cans out of the trash to buy food and shit, but chase was constantly bitching about money. ugh.

Speaking of bitching about not getting paid for being in peoples videos or mag photos Jay Miron did that as well. I actually remember him at a contest yelling at people not to video him because of that fact.

What an asshole. - jamie

It's rad how he's so open about his anxiety. A lesser man would be apprehensive of divulging such personal information about a condition so many are ignorant of or misinformed about.
