Blasting at Burnside

Burnside Skatepark is only a few blocks from my studio. At this point it’s one of the most well known skate spots in the world. Dean Dickinson and ESPN BMX recently did a cool short film and story about the park’s history with BMX riders, who aren’t necessarily welcome at the DIY skater-built spot. You can check that feature out here.
The photo above is of Snotty blasting a vert wall that’s been in the process of being built for the past year or so. It’s only about three feet wide, and then becomes an unfinished pile of rubble, so riding it is sketchy. An air of this height is ridiculous. You are asking for Hepatitis or any number of filth born illnesses. Let’s just say you don’t really want to fall at Burnside, even on the smooth surfaces. The place is dirty. He’s taking off right in that mossy area and landing in about the same spot. You can see some more photos of Snotty killing Burnside in this previous post.
