From the Archives: Sean Maher, 1998
This one of Sean Maher is from Burlington, Massachusetts back in 1998, shot for the unreleased second issue of Nine-Ninety. This ramp set-up was outside a bike shop in Burlington (the name slips me). I rode with Sean a lot in my Boston days. Sean made a few videos over the years in the New England area, and also made a video for 2-Hip bikes called Non-Stop to San Francisco. A lot to note from this era: big Standard Hand Grenade pegs, assumed 50lb bike, large sprocket, high-ish seat, Pro Design knee pads… a lot has changed, but fakie airs are still awesome.

M Rainha added this brilliant insight on Oct 12 10 at 12:10 amThats Burlington Cycles. The sign is still up even though they moved the next town over years ago. I built bikes there for a few years. Got out of school early everyday to work there. They would make me go ride on nice days.
